2011-2012 Fall-Winter Class booklet
Hand-building with clay - $50 (Members $40)
Children will produce creative clay projects by learning hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, sculpture and glazing. Taught by Andrea Pace.
Art Exploration - $50 (Members $40)
Come and explore the world of art with us! Try your hand at stamping, scuplture, painting and drawing. Our class focuses on individualized attention to challenge and nurture the creative spirit in your child. Taught by Andrea Pace.
Pottery - $60 (Members $48)
Students will learn the basics of working on the wheel, including wedging, centering and creating a bowl as well as other creative hand building projects. Firing and glazing included. Taught by Andrea Pace.

Pottery - $85 (Members $68)
Have you had the chance to try using the potter's wheel? Great for beginners, this course will introduce you to creating functional as well as aesthetic works in clay. Learn the basics of throwing, glazing and firing with instructor Andrea Pace. Materials included.
Art Club - $75
Open studio time to work on your own ceramic projects. No instructor present. Class is designed for intermediate and advanced ceramists. Fee includes 50lbs. of clay, glazes and firing. Firing will be performed by trained art center staff.
Introduction to Pencil Drawing - $50 (Members $40)
Learn the basics of shape, line and shading from Kathy Cunningham, who does the portraits at the State Fair. A still life will be completed in class.
Pencil Portraits - $50 (Members $40)
Work from a photograph and a model and learn to draw people realistically. Great for anyone wanting to learn how to draw people! Taught by Kathy Cunningham.
Beginning Watercolor - $65 (Members $52)
Explore your creative side and learn to paint in watercolor. Our 6 week class will include learning the basics of color theory, design principles, watercolor techniques and much more. Taught by Jan Globuschutz. $20 Material Fee Required.
Watercolor Painting II - $65 (Members $52)
Take the next step in watercolor painting to expand your skills from the beginner level and let your creativity bloom. Taught by Jan Globuschutz.
Easy Yoga - $30 (Members $24)
Instructor Annette Vance leads this easy and safe exercise for strength and flexibility. Classes adjusted for holiday hours.
