The Ankeny Art Center will be hosting its annual photo contest this October.  All entries are due by Saturday, September 25, 2010.  Entry fee is $25 for three pieces.  If you wish to enter more than three there will a $5 charge for each additional piece submitted. Entries and images need to be mailed, email or dropped off to Christina Catron by Saturday, September 25th before noon. Email JEPEG images and registration forms to christina@ankenyartcenter.com.  DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS.  Any digital entries must be in JPEG format.  All registration materials sent will not be returned. 

All accepted entries must be gallery ready when dropped off at the Ankeny Art Center (i.e. framed and wired).  No matted or un-matted prints will be accepted.  Ankeny Art Center reserves the right to exclude any work that they or the juror do not see fit. 

When submitting please include the title of the piece, dimensions, and price. A copy of the entry tag MUST be taped on the back of each piece submitted, along with a corresponding copy for the art center staff. The opening reception is set for Thursday, October 14 ,2010. The exhibit will be on display until October 28, 2010.

All gallery ready pieces must be delivered to the Ankeny Art Center before Saturday, September 25, 2010 before noon. Works delivered after that date will not be accepted, and entry fees will not be returned.

Entries are open to all US residents over the age of 18.

Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

The Ankeny Art Center is located in a city park at SW Third and State Front Road.  Gallery hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9 am to 1 pm, Thursday 9 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm and Saturday 9 am to noon.  The Center is closed Sunday and Monday.  For more information about the Ankeny Art Center, please visit www.ankenyartcenter.com.

The Photo Contest is cosponsored by the Ankeny Press Citizen and is open to photographers of all ages and experiences.  The next contest is scheduled for October 2008.  Watch for details.
